This Sunday we start a new series at Inspire Church: faith in action. Over the next 12 weeks we are going to be looking at the Book of Acts – the Acts of the Apostles – but rather than just ‘thinking’ about the book of Acts we are going to be ‘doing’ it. (It wasn’t called the Book of Thoughts!) Each week we’ll consider a different story in the life of the the early church and in some way or another we will live it out ourselves. I have no idea how this is going to go but I do know three things: a) learning-by-doing is far more compelling than learning-by-thinking; b) the Holy Spirit will be with us; c) those first disciples didn’t know quite what was going to happen either … so we’re in good company.
